Biddle goes green
As one of Europe’s leading HVAC manufacturers Nuneaton based Biddle Air Systems Limited has always been aware of its responsibilities towards the public, customers, suppliers, employees and the environment. To confirm this, we developed an Environmental Management System for our business. In recognition of this commitment to protecting the environment and our conformance to the requirements, BSI has recently awarded the company ISO14001:2004 certification.
This certification to ISO14001 not only confirms that Biddle’s Environmental Management System and operational controls fully comply with the international standard, but also confirms our systems and processes recognise the requirements to comply with relevant legislation and that we have an effective recycling culture.
ISO14001:2004 involves evaluation of all aspects of our business with impact on the environment. We have set ourselves environmental objectives for improvement, with a robust management programme to achieve them. Regular reviews are then conducted to monitor progress and ensure continual improvement.
Phil Waldron, managing director, said “At Biddle we are continually looking for new ways to improve not just our products but all aspects of our business procedures. All parts of the business have been carefully reviewed and, having achieved ISO14001:2004 certification, we won’t rest on our laurels but will strive to continually improve our environmental footprint. We want to be sure that when you buy a Biddle product you get the best solution with the least impact on the environment.”
